About Kibo

Kibo is a chore and habit app that helps families build good routines together. Parents create everyday tasks, kids complete them on their own device to earn stars, streaks and badges, and those stars become real rewards that parents approve.

What Kibo does

Parents set up tasks — from Brush Teeth to Do Homework — with star values, schedules, reminders and optional photo proof. Children connect their own phone or tablet with a simple 6-digit pairing code and check tasks off in a bright, ad-free space made just for them. Every finished task earns stars and a celebration; parents review check-ins and approve rewards from a calm dashboard. Kibo tracks day streaks, 30 collectible badges across 11 activity categories, and weekly progress for the whole family.

How Kibo is built

Kibo is a cross-platform product built on Google Cloud. The mobile app is built with React Native and Expo, and is available for Android on Google Play, with iPhone and iPad support on the way. The backend runs on Google Cloud Run and uses Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, Google Cloud Storage for photo proof, and Google Cloud Tasks for scheduled reminders. Family data stays in sync securely and in real time, so every device is always up to date.

Privacy and safety

Kibo is designed for children first. There are no ads and no social feeds — just a child's own tasks and rewards. Parents stay in control of every approval, and family data is protected in line with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP 27/2022). Read our Privacy Policy to learn more.
